A great little bakery that also has a deli to grab a sandwich to go. Their cookies are the best around, they're beautiful and they taste amazing! The Vienna bread is my favorite.
My favorite local bakery. So many fantastic options it's almost overwhelming. Personally I live so close that I've gone enough that I've been trying to try everything at least once and 4 months later I still haven't completed the task haha. No disappointments though!!
This is the BEST place for birthday cakes! Talk about a talented baker, and so affordable! My daughter is really into dinosaurs, and she requested “a dinosaur themed cake with a dark blue dinosaur and add some sparkles”. Having no idea what that kind of cake might entail, I put in our order and was blown away when we picked it up. PLUS, the cake was so moist and enjoyed by everyone at our party.
The baker went above and beyond to make my daughter and mothers birthday cakes so special. I love my neighborhood bakery!
Since I don't drink anymore I've been on a bakery journey. so I'm hitting up all the local bakeries. This bakery was really really good. My favorite thing here was the Miami bread. Never had it before and now I'm obsessed. Napoleon cake, carrot cake and the cheese Danish (had a different name) was all super fantastic.
I just want to thank all of you. My mother's birthday was today and I forgot to call ahead of time to order a cassata cake and when my sister called me at 8am and asked if I did I called this store. They were able to give me exactly what I needed and it was so good and so pretty. Thank you so much for doing this cake in a matter of hours anywhere else would have told me I needed to order at least 3 days in advance... I will definitely be coming back and recommending you.
We just had the best experience at Michael's Bakery. The cheese and apricot folded croissants were delicious, the adorable flower cupcake moist and beautifully decorated, and the bread loaf perfect with our lunch. We went for our son's birthday and the clerk was incredibly kind and professional, and even gave him a cookie for the occasion. We will definitely be back!
Are you looking for the most tender, flaky, delicious Danishs in Cleveland? Michael's Bakery and Deli on Broadview in Old Brooklyn is my choice. They are probably the only bakery around that still makes Danish, French, and other pastries from scratch, folding in butter to the pastry dough like your Grandma, Oma, Baba, Nonna would have done. And their muffins? Super moist and flavorful. We took home raspberry danish, basket danish with one side cheese and the other apricot, muffins, and Ukranian Sliced Sourdough bread (some danish and muffins may not have actually made it home). You can pick up a Sub sandwich from the deli while you are there as well. I urge you to take the time to make a trip to Michael's, you will not be dissapointed.
